It was a little different from alot of the hidden object-point & click games. The differences were a welcome change. Would recommend this game to any one who enjoys these type of games.. Pros:Cute storyLots of eye candyLovely music loopVoices for the most part aren't badCons:ShortExtra story incredibly short, shorter than usual for an extra chapter in an Artifex Mundi gameEnding line in extra chapter feels forced...done just to link extra chapter to main gameVerdict:Cute but short, somewhat visually stimulating. Buy it when it's cheap or part of a bundle. A decent quality but short title published by Artifex Mundi, one of the more prolific professional HOG purveyors on Steam.. The puzzles are really great and make you think. and the story is good. I only have a problem with some of the art work. Like the grandma Baba, the way they got her face it looks like it's on the side of her head, And where they have her chained up to the table at the end her arms and feet just look weird.. Very nice game, one of the best from Artific Mundi I'd say. I had been eyeing off the Eventide series for quite some time and I am so glad I finally bought the bundle at the last sale, because it started off so well! Eventide: Slavic Fable was beautifully drawn, great music, interesting (variety and easy) puzzles, and the story was pretty good too. I also enjoyed that most of the mechanics seemed to make logical sense most of the time, so only in a couple of instances did I end up wondering around aimlessly trying to find the thing to set off the next thing.The achievements were fairly easy to get as most of them are earned as you progress through the story. That being said, I did have to go through it again for the cards and the bookworm achievements, as I missed the very (very) last ones after getting caught up in the excitement of the story.I definitely recommend this for lovers of point-and-click adventures and those into fairytales or mythical beasts. I am looking forward to playing through the next two in the series!
